IRshell for PSP
For those of you who dont know what IR shell is, it is a shell for your PSP, kindof like XMB, but it gives you ease of acess such as copying/pasting files, listining to music while running applications e.g. homebrew or webbrowser. There are so many more feats that come with the app. You can even have it autobooted instead of your normal XMB. I am using this App on 3.71 M33-4+1.50k, so im pretty sure it will work with 1.50 psp’s. I am not comepletly sure that this will work with other CFW other than 3.71 M33 so take caution if you have a different cfw --------------------------------------- IRshell http://dl.qj.net/Media-Apps/pg/12/fid/15795/catid/140 --------------------------------------- (step 1) - UnZIP the file that i gave you to somewhere where acess is easy (desktop) (step 2) - Open that file up and then Copy and Paste the IRSHELL folder to your memstick root (the root is where the folders ; MUSIC, PHOTO, VIDEO, PSP, are located) (step 3) - After that, go back to the downloaded IRshell file, and click on the PSP folder, open up the GAME, or GAME150 if you are on 1.50 ofw, and copy its contents into your PSP’s game folder. (step 4) - go back to the downloaded file and then go to the SEPLUGINS folder, copy the "irsautoboot.prx" into your SEPLUGINS folder. also copy the vsh.txt file there also, if you already have a vsh.txt then open up the IRshell one and copy its text to the one in your PSP’s vsh.txt (step 5) - turn on your psp and go to the saved games directory. then select the IRshell app, you can basically figure out everything from here, Press the START button on your psp to look at a help screen, this will give you all of the hot keys, e.g. MUSIC select and File Managment ----------------------------------------------------------- OPTIONAL (irsautoboot.prx) ----------------------------------------------------------- Lets say if your getting sick of having to Load up XMB everytime you want to go to IRshell, well instead, you can have it so when you turn on your PSP, it will go directly to IRshell. In order to do this, Turn off your PSP completly by holding down the power button. The turn it back on while holding the ( R ) trigger. this will take you to recovery menu. go down to plugins, and then select irsautoboot.prx. If you dont see Irsautoboot.prx in there, then go back to USB mode and make sure your VSH.txt in your SEPLUGINS folder has the correct text in it. you need to add this line for it to work. ms0:/seplugins/irsautoboot.prx then it should work. go back to recover mode and then to plugins. then select irsautoboot.prx. wala, now whenever you turn on your psp, it will boot up straight to IRshell. ---------------------------------- OPTIONAL (IRshell skins) ---------------------------------- go to here and download the contest skin pack http://rs258.rapidshare.com/files/73..._contest_1.rar or you could just google "irshell skins" after it is downloaded, copy all of the folders, and paste them into your SKINS folder in the IRSHELL folder on the root of your psp. to select different skins on IRshell, open up IRshell and go to IRshell configurator or press ( R )+START scroll all the way down and select Skin Browser. there should be all the skins that you copied, if not, Make sure you copied all the skin files into the right folder. once you find the one you like. select is and Press X to Install Skin, then go back to configurator and hit O to save your settings. then IRshell will REBOOT and load the new settings. ------------------------------------------------------------------ BTW - XMB=cross menu bar CFW- custom firmware |
